How Breaking News works
Newspresso's Breaking News page publishes automatically. When our system detects an unusual surge of distinct publishers reporting the same story within a short window, an AI model reviews it for genuine newsworthiness. If it passes, the story is pushed to the Newspresso app as a breaking-news alert and archived here. No editor selects, writes, or approves any individual story before it appears.
Each story is a summary generated from multiple published reports on the same event. Every factual claim in the summary links to the specific outlet it came from. Look for the small numbered superscripts in the text, or the full Sources list at the bottom of every article. We do not add opinion or analysis beyond what the source reporting states.
Stories remain on this page for 7 days, then move to the archive, where their URLs stay live permanently, even after the underlying story is removed from our production database.
No human byline appears on these articles because no reporter wrote them; the author of record is Newspresso as an organization. If you believe a story is inaccurate, misattributed, or should be corrected or removed, contact us and we will review it.
