Anthropic Files IPO Prospectus, Naming Nasdaq Ticker ANT
AI company Anthropic reported $16.3 billion in first-half 2026 revenue and an $80.7 billion net loss, mostly accounting charges. It plans a Nasdaq listing as ANT, with no share price or debut date disclosed. Shares cannot be sold until regulators make the registration effective; presentations may begin the week of November 9.

Anthropic’s public filing puts a striking pair of figures in front of investors: $16.3 billion in revenue and an $80.7 billion net loss for the first half of 2026. The Claude maker filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on October 26, moving closer to a Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT. The loss looks enormous, but most of it is an accounting charge tied to the rising value of financial agreements. 15
That $16.3 billion in sales marks a roughly 14-fold jump from the same six months a year earlier. Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI staff, has grown from a privately funded AI lab into a major seller of business tools, including Claude and its coding products. Its operating loss was $693 million, while an adjusted figure showed $1.6 billion in operating income. Those figures tell different stories because the adjusted figure leaves out some costs and is not profit under standard accounting rules. 259
The gap between revenue and the headline loss matters, but so do the costs behind the growth. Anthropic spent about $8.95 billion on computing and infrastructure in the first half. Its filing warns that some long-term computing deals require payment even if the company does not use the computing power. More than 1,900 customers brought in at least $1 million each over the prior 12 months. Investors must weigh that demand against large spending commitments, AI safety risks and legal disputes, as well as pressure to meet public-market expectations. 69
Those expectations will soon meet the practical IPO process. The filing does not yet give a share count, price range or confirmed debut date, and shares cannot be sold before regulators approve the registration. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the share sale. Plans reported by Bloomberg and cited in the sources point to investor presentations as early as the week of November 9 and a possible listing before Thanksgiving, November 26. 245
