Two More Bodies Found in Bengaluru Family Murder Case
The recoveries bring the number of victims found to three; police are still searching for four others. Karnataka police say cab driver Indushekhar is accused of killing seven members of his wife’s family and moving their bodies to different places. Investigators are also examining his teenage daughter’s role and alleged jewellery sales.

Two bodies found in a forest in Salem district, Tamil Nadu, are believed to be those of Sunitha and her mother, Rupavathi. Their recovery brings the number of victims found to three, including seven-year-old Puneeth, while four people remain missing. Relatives have travelled to Salem to identify the remains and complete the required steps. 310
The three recovered bodies are only part of a case that began with a missing-person complaint. Police say Nalini’s mother reported her missing on November 3, prompting investigators to question cab driver Indushekhar, who is accused of killing seven members of his wife’s family. The alleged killings took place over roughly two weeks in October at his Rajajinagar home. Police say he then drove the bodies to different locations. Searches have included parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. 111
The searches have shown how much remains uncertain. Police are checking Indushekhar’s account rather than treating it as proven. They have not established how much his teenage daughter knew when she allegedly accompanied him on trips to dispose of bodies. Investigators are also tracing gold ornaments allegedly taken from victims and checking whether some were sold. Surviving relatives are waiting for answers and for the remaining four bodies to be found. 2710
The four missing victims remain the immediate focus of the search. Police have seized the Toyota Etios allegedly used to move the bodies and are checking the accused’s statements against evidence, including jewellery sales. Investigators must also establish the daughter’s role and identify the recovered remains through proper procedures. Identifying the remains is the next concrete step for the relatives in Salem as searches continue. 21013
