Four More Arrested Over Weapons Supplied to Tiger Shroff Shooters

A pistol and 20 rounds allegedly travelled from Amritsar to Mumbai in a woman’s bag before the October 18 attack on actor Tiger Shroff’s car. Delhi Police have now arrested four more people, including two women, over the alleged weapons supply route. After court approval, Mumbai Police formally arrested them and got three days to take them to Mumbai for questioning. ^5,9

The four are Kunal, 21, and Sumit, 19, from Haryana’s Sonipat district, and Radha and Babita, both 23. Police allege Kunal collected the pistol and ammunition in Amritsar on the instructions of Anil Pandit, described by police as a US-based gangster. Kunal and Sumit allegedly arranged for Radha and Babita to carry the weapon by train. They reached Mumbai on October 17, and a minor boy allegedly collected the bag near their hotel. ^3,5

That bag links the arrests to the attack in Juhu the next evening, when three men on a motorcycle opened fire at Shroff’s car as he left a football club. The actor escaped serious harm, while his driver and a passerby were reported injured. Mumbai Police say Shroff was not the shooters’ first target. Investigators believe they first sought another prominent Bollywood figure, then chose Shroff, reportedly after learning about his security through fan videos. That account is based on police claims and reports of questioning; the other intended target has not been named. ^2,7,12

The other three suspects, identified as alleged shooters, were arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, on Monday while reportedly planning to flee to Nepal. Police have not confirmed a final motive, and the alleged links to Anil Pandit and a wider criminal network remain under investigation. Mumbai Police will now question the four newly arrested accused during their three-day transit remand. ^2,5
