Musk Pledges a SpaceX Share to Every Child in the US

One share for each of roughly 72 million to 73 million children could cost about $10.5 billion at recent prices. SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk announced on X on October 19 that he plans to give one share to every child in America next year. After artificial intelligence company Anthropic said it planned to put 5% of its shares into a fund for public-good projects, Musk suggested giving shares directly to the public. Musk has not said whether “every kid” means citizens only or all children living in the United States, what age counts, or how families would prove eligibility.
