Two Wanted Haryana Gangsters Held in Nevada as India Seeks Return

At a detention centre outside Las Vegas, US immigration records list two Indian-born men under different names: Himanshu Sigroha and Neeraj Kaushik. Officials identify them as wanted Haryana gangsters Himanshu Bhau and Neeraj Faridpuria, arrested on October 22. India is now seeking their return, but neither man has been ordered deported. ^1,4

That Nevada detention followed information Indian agencies shared about Bhau’s location. Haryana’s Special Task Force and central agencies are working with US counterparts, and a team of Indian officers may travel there to handle paperwork. Bhau, also known as Himanshu Ritoliya, faces 18 Indian cases, including murder, attempted murder, extortion and forgery. He has been subject to an Interpol Red Notice since 2023. Those cases make the arrests important for investigators, but the legal path matters as much as the capture. ICE, the US immigration agency, holds the men at the Henderson Detention Center. Reports citing detainee records say they are in immigration custody, and no US criminal charges have been found. Deportation through immigration proceedings can differ from extradition, the formal process under the India-US treaty. A US judge may consider asylum or other requests before any removal. ^2,4

That legal review is the next hurdle for both men. Indian agencies are seeking to speed up the process, and officials may travel to the United States to complete documents, but no deportation order has been publicly confirmed.
