News consumption in India is fragmented across apps, and most existing readers relay headlines rather than making sense of them. Newspresso set out to aggregate, rewrite, and personalize news, then deliver it through more than one format, not just a feed.

Built AI-native, not AI-bolted-on
AI isn't a feature bolted onto Newspresso after the fact — it's how the content gets made in the first place, and how the team building it works day to day.
- Every story is aggregated from 40+ sources, then rewritten and summarized by an LLM pipeline, not just relayed
- A retrieval-augmented (RAG) AI assistant for in-app Q&A and related-article discovery, with citation-backed streaming answers
- A daily 2-host podcast, script and voice both AI-generated, shipped in English and Hindi
- Self-hosted models (Ollama) alongside hosted APIs (OpenAI, Claude) depending on the job — cost and latency, not just capability, decide which
